Ordering repeat prescriptions
There are various ways in which you can order your prescription which are stated below.
You can place your request in the post box on the gate outside or in the box in reception next to the check in screen.
You can also order your repeat prescriptions securely on line.
You will need to come down to the surgery to register for this online service. The receptionist will then supply you with a website link, username and first password. You can also access the website link to start using the service by clicking on the link below:
Please note that we do not take prescription requests over the telephone. Do not call the Out of Hours Service for a prescription as they will not be able to help you.
Please allow 2 working days for your prescription to be completed at Richmond Medical Centre and allow 1 extra day for it to arrive at your chosen pharmacy.
Electronic Prescribing
We offer the Electronic Prescription Service, which allows you to choose or “nominate” a pharmacy to get your medicines or appliances from. Your GP then sends your prescription electronically to the place you nominated. this means:
If you collect your repeat prescriptions from your GP you will not have to visit your GP practice to pick up your paper prescription, saving time. You will have more choice about where to get your medicines from because they can be collected from a pharmacy near to where you live, work or shop. You may not have to wait as long as your repeat prescriptions could be prepared before you arrive.
