Vaccinations before going Back to University
- 1 in 8 students starting university this autumn are NOT protected against meningitis
which can cause serious health complications or death
- Students should be up to date with these 3 vaccines before university: MenACWY
for meningitis and septicaemia, MMR for measles, mumps and rubella and HPV for
human papilloma virus related cancers. Contact your GP if you have missed any.
- If your child missed having the vaccine when they were at school, they can
get it up to the age of 25 years
