Help Us Reduce Missed Appointments

Over the past three weeks, our practice has experienced a significant number of missed appointments (Did Not Attends – DNAs):

• Doctor appointments: 42 missed appointments (7 hours 20 minutes)
• Nurse appointments: 39 missed appointments (9 hours 50 minutes)
• Healthcare Assistant appointments: 34 missed appointments (5 hours 40 minutes)

This amounts to a total of 115 missed appointments and 22 hours 50 minutes of lost clinical time.

Every missed appointment is time that could have been used to help another patient. Missed appointments reduce availability, increase waiting times, and place additional pressure on NHS resources.

If you are unable to attend your appointment, or if it is no longer needed, please contact the practice as soon as possible so that the appointment can be offered to another patient.

We always try to ensure that appointment reminders are sent wherever possible. However, reminder messages should not be relied upon as the sole means of remembering your appointment. When you book an appointment, please make a note of the date and time and take responsibility for attending, or for ensuring that someone you care for attends their appointment.

Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us make the best use of our clinical time, ensuring appointments remain available for patients who need them
